What you will learn: Use stars to rank molecules in hit lists.
Estimated read time: 2 minutes.
If you want to assign stars to help rank molecules in your hit list, OpenEye has created a hot key for this task.
Scientists often need to rank molecules, to prioritize molecules from the output list of a virtual screening job.
Users of
Orion can easily assign each molecule a rating from 1 to 5 stars or can remove stars. In Orion, there are two
options to quickly assign stars. It can be done on either the 3D Modeling
page or on the Analyze
page.

Option 1. On the 3D Modeling
page, hover your mouse over the star. A tool tip shows the current rating.
To assign a value, simply click on a star.

Option 2. On the Analyze page, rate molecules using hot keys. Select a molecule by clicking on the corresponding record, then press a key to assign (1 through 5) or remove (0) a rating.
