Target Exploration Module

Target Exploration involves the identification and validation of biological targets that are associated with an illness. Identifying a molecular target involved in a given disease (usually a protein) can help researchers design a more effective drug for that disease. Subsequent target validation confirms whether modulating that target has the potential to provide a therapeutic benefit. Computational methods used in target exploration include homology modeling, binding site identification, and binding site comparison.

OpenEye solutions in the Target Exploration Module are Cryptic Pocket Detection and SiteHopper.
