Random Record Selection

This cube splits input records into two streams, with a specified percentage of records randomly selected to go to one of the output ports.

The percentage of records to be sent to port A is specified by the percentage parameter. The remaining records are send to port B. By default, the cube randomly splits a set of records into two sets of equal size.

The seed for the random number generator can be set by the Random Seed parameter.

Note

This cube has to cache records, therefore, it is not suitable for splitting large datasets. For randomly splitting large datasets please use the Random Record Splitting cube.
